Artist's Description

This painting was entered into the Meroogal House Annual Art exhibition where it was a finalist. The exhibition is held by the Historic Houses Trust of New South Wales. The painting depicts two girls, from different centuries, both in similar poses. It shows how a craft can link us with the past, handed down through the generations.

About Anne Gardner

Anne Gardner

I live in the South East of Australia, in the beautiful Shoalhaven, where I find inspiration for my landscapes; with beaches, farmlands, mountains, valleys and bush all within easy reach. I like to vary my work and have also painted portraits, seascapes and some abstracts. My main medium is acrylic but I have become proficient in watercolour. I have won prizes in various art contests and have sold work in exhibitions in the local area, and have also sold internationally to New Zealand, the USA and Great Britain.
