Wonderful painting Anne! L

Artist's Description

Embracing beginnings’ is replete with symbolism.
As I grew up in New Zealand, one of my favourite symbols is the Koru, which is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolizing new life, growth, strength and peace.
The Goddess represents the feminine guides of spiritual transformation, transcendence, conscious insight, and inspiration, which are also represented by light.
The moon is a frequent metaphor for change, while the Lotus is a universal symbol of rebirth, and this can be also the rebirth of the mind and new goals.

About Anne Gardner

Anne Gardner

I live in the South East of Australia, in the beautiful Shoalhaven, where I find inspiration for my landscapes; with beaches, farmlands, mountains, valleys and bush all within easy reach. I like to vary my work and have also painted portraits, seascapes and some abstracts. My main medium is acrylic but I have become proficient in watercolour. I have won prizes in various art contests and have sold work in exhibitions in the local area, and have also sold internationally to New Zealand, the USA and Great Britain.
